Sub Plot 1

Clean architectural lines and organic objects have been abstracted from pencil sketches and watercolors of building and aerial landscape forms. These ideas are reinterpreted with washes of watercolor and graphite on wood panel and then painted with encaustic medium for texture, color and gloss. Adding layers of oil paint diffuses light from areas of the surface. I etch into the painted encaustic medium, deposit graphite and scratch through the layers to reveal some of the work history below.
