Mother encaustic 12" x 12"

Artist Statement:
Seattle-born artist Kate Petty’s (née Fluckinger) work explores themes of transition, impermanence, restlessness, and the liminal space of the barely perceptible. Her imagery is grounded in natural landscapes and informed by the otherworldly. She works in oils, encaustics, and occasionally metals and baked goods.
